Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous), Latur is the only Autonomous college in Marathwada Region. The college has taken the pivotal step of Autonomous Status in 2013. This college established in 1970, bears the name of a true democrat, social reformer, educationist and the progressive king of Kolhapur, Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu. The motto of our institution is Pursuit of Excellence.

The college has UGC-CPE (Phase III) status and support under DST-FIST scheme. It has empowered us to introduce innovations in Academics and Research. The Autonomous status of the college has made the programs and courses more divergent and need satisfying. Under the new accreditation framework of NAAC, the college received B++ (CGPA 2.99) in 2018.

The fifty years history of our college is full of trials and tribulations. We accepted the challenges and conquered the adversities to reach at the apex of success. We are always pragmatic, resourceful and creative on every Front. Through tireless efforts and selfless service we have evolved a Shahu Pattern which is widely known as Latur Pattern of education.

About Departmen

The Department of Chemistry was established in the academic year 1971-72. Need of analyst is at the forefront of the noteworthy growth in industries, the college took initiative in starting the course Analytical Chemistry in the year 1985-86 at Undergraduate (B.Sc.) level. Now, this course is successfully flourishing the need of industries by availing analysts with sound subject knowledge. Also, Post graduate course in Organic Chemistry started from 2014-2015. Department has well equipped laboratories with number of sophisticated instruments. In 2006-07, UGC recognized this department as a “Star Department” under CPE status. The Department has S.R.T.M. University, Nanded, recognized research Centre. Now the Research Activities tackling recent areas of research are insistently in progress.

About Publication:

Authors are invited to submit original papers (not being considered for publication elsewhere) related with themes of symposia in standard format (that is provided) describing new theoretical and/or experimental research. Kindly submit your research article/manuscript in.DOC/.DOCX file format. The font should be “Times New Roman” with 12 size for matter,16 size in bold for title, 14 size in bold for main headings and 12 size in bold for sub-headings, having line spacing of 1.5 inch and 1 inch custom margin on all sides and A4 Size Paper. The CD of research paper should be brought along at Conference.

The research paper should be print on one side page. The two copies should be submitted to Local Secretary. The research paper should be type in ISM, DVB-TT Surekh, Unicode font with DTP.

The excellent research papers which will be presented in conference will be published ISSN Research Journal.

It is important to note that the Research Paper is not an essay but a research paper. The limit of the research should be 6 to 7 pages. (2000 to 2500 words). The abstract (300 words) should be submitted independently.

The research methods should be followed while writing research paper.

Lifetime Membership Number or Annual Membership Number, full name, complete address, session and E-mail should be mention on first page of the research paper.

The excellent research paper reader will be honored.

The topic of the research paper should be completely new and it should not be published and presented anywhere.

The long research paper and handwritten research paper will not be published.

A research paper in the name of more than one researcher can be presented by a single researcher.
